About
Romea Riccardo was a 5-year starter at the University of North Carolina where she led the Tar Heels to 6 ACC Championships and 5 National Championships. As captain of the team, she was double majoring in journalism and communications with a minor in coaching.
As the oldest of 8 kids, she was accompanied by her sister Ciana at Carolina, who is also on the field hockey team. Her other sister Celina, plays at Michigan State University. All three division one sisters played together at Downingtown West High School where they earned All State honors. Their knowledge of game extends beyond the field, as they are all level one certified Umpires.
Field hockey has been a part of Romea’s life since the age of 6 and she is excited to help others enjoy and grow the game of field hockey with her knowledge and experience.
